(St. Louis, MO - August 7th, 2005) -- Our night did not start off good at I-55 Raceway as we would draw a pill of 58. This would give us a bad starting spot for the heat race. We would be starting 8th and they were only taking 6th to the main event. We would also have a major electrical problem as coming off the corners and down the straight away the motor would cut out and We would loose a ton of power. Our bad heat race finish would force us to start 6th in the semi where they were only taking 6 to the show. We made some changes to the motor to try and help fix the cutting out problem but, would only make it worse. However, we would be able to hand on for a 6th place finish which put us in the show. This time when we came it we discovered our problem and we somewhat got it fixed for the feature where we were starting 24th. We were starting 1 car away from dead last and the cutting out problem was still there just not nearly as bad. We drove our way through the field passing one car after another. Soon we found ourselves looking at a top 10. We passed a few cars in the last couple of laps and we were able to get our first top 10 at I-55 Raceway this season. We have been close but, never could catch a break with mechanical problems which it looked to be the same thing yet again this week. Our charge from 24th to 10th almost gave us the STLRacing.com Hard Charger Award but, at the same time I was moving to the front so was another competitor who advanced the same amount of positions I did. Unfortunately, the winner is driver who finished further ahead which would be the other competitor. We also had plans to head to Tri-City Speedway this Sunday but, with our motor problems we have decided not to risk it. We will have to take it to our motor builder and have him decide if it needs to be re-built as we have also been overheating it every week. If it does need to be re-built we may be forced to miss a few weeks so stay tuned to this site for more news.
