(St. Louis, MO - August 22nd, 2005) -- We did some extra work on the car this week trying to make it better then it has been as we will be out of town for the next two weekends with racing elsewhere. We drew a bad pill which put Shane second from last in the start of his heat race. In the first corner he would drive to the cushion and drive past 4 cars on the outside and pick up 3rd position. He might have been able to move further up in the field but, he has been fighting his motor cutting out on him for the past couple weeks and the same thing was happening in this race. We were still unable to fix our motor problem for the dash and we started where we finished however, this was still an accomplishment as it was the first Dash Shane has ever made. In the feature Shane would get his motor problem all worked out but, would come close to getting taken out of the race many times. One time a car came shooting across the track right in front of him by the flag stand. He would get on the brakes but, still hit the guy pretty hard and would tear up the left front of the car. This also broke something on his brakes. Another time he was pinched against the wall and lost even more positions. Every time this would happen he would loose 3 or so spots. We had a much better car then what the results show and look for us the be back to the Dirt track September 10th at I-55 Raceway and Tri-City Speedway September 11th at tri-City Speedway for there Season Championship. We will also be heading to the Rock Island Grand Prix September 3rd-4th. This is a sprint-kart street race for that pays $1,000 to win visit www.RockIslandGrandPrix.com for more
