(St. Louis, MO - September 27th, 2005) -- Well, we did not find our motor problem at the shop before the PEPSI Nationals as we originally thought. We went into hot laps and ran the bottom of the track and the motor seemed to be working fine. However, in the heat race Shane went to the top of the track and it started cutting out on him again. He would hold on for a somewhat strong 4th place heat finish. We came in and told our good friends the Richards crew (www.DennisRichards.com) about our problem and what was going on. They helped us figure out what it was and it turned out to be a carb problem. We got this all fixed up as we were starting 17th in the feature. We made it around one lap when Shane went into the corner and just went straight into the wall. He then climbed the wall and flipped the car 2 or 3 times. He said, "The car was much faster and acted completely different going into the corner with full power". He was referring to getting the motor problem solved. He also said they car was a ton better than it has been all year long as far as speed.
The bad news is Shane bent the Impressive Chassis. However, it is fixable and as you read this the car is being repaired by www.ImpressiveRaceCars.com. We are also putting an entire new body on the car as we plan to get the car ready for the biggest show of the year the Sportsman Nationals October 8th at I-55 Raceway. We are really excited about this event not only because of how special a show it is but, because we have such a faster car then we have had all year long. We have been a solid top 10 car with a very big motor problem that we have been fighting all year long. We are also very excited about the new graphics job we will be adding to our new body. It will be done by www.SynergyGraphics.com. Look for the new paint scheme to be released at the Sportsman Fall
Nationals $9,000 to win 50 Lap Event as we feel it will greatly promote our sponsors. Look for Walters Motorsports to quickly head to the front with our basically new car.
