(St. Louis, MO - Novemeber 2nd, 2005) -- We said at the beginning of the season we would love to see Walters Motorsports come out on top of the SLKA points chase as well as the Missouri State Championship Series. We did just that, as last week Walters Motorsports took 1st and 3rd in the chase along with winning the final event of the season at SLKA. We did not want to stop there as just one week later we headed to Kansas City, Mo for the second leg of the Missouri State Championship Series. We went into this event 1st and 2nd in the points race so things looked very good for our entire team. We made it to the wide open sprint-track Saturday and entered ourselves in a few hours of testing for Sunday's Main Event.

On Sunday, Evan would jump right out to grab the pole position in qualifying with Shane following by a tenth of a second. In the pre-final, Shane would jump out to an early lead over Evan. While trailing Shane, Evan would lock up his brakes heading into the fastest corner on the track. He would then slide through the grass field backwards throwing grass everywhere. Shane would go on the win the pre-final race. In the feature, Shane would make a bad set-up mistake raising the tire pressure way to much. Evan would jump out to an early lead. While chasing Evan, Shane would be very loose and he would four wheel drift in every corner. He ended up spinning out coming of the corner. Evan would go on the lead the entire race and bring home the victory. Shane would take the points championship, while Evan would take second in the points chase.

We look forward o next season, we will have some very exciting news released very soon for our 2006 plans coming very soon. We are also looking into running some DIRT Karting event this winter in an indoor racetrack. Keep updated to our website and racing schedules for winter events as well as 2006 events.
